Despite building works the museums remain open for the time being

The work on extending the Felix Nussbaum Haus has begun.  Despite the structural alterations, the exhibitions in the Felix Nussbaum Haus and the upper floor of the Cultural History Museum still remain open.  During the building works, the reduced entrance fee of 3€ applies.

The ticket office and museum shop for the Felix Nussbaum Haus/Cultural History Museum have now been moved to Villa Schlikker.  The main entrances of the Felix Nussbaum Haus and Cultural History Museum are closed; however a side entrance, which is accessible through the Felix Nussbaum Haus cafeteria is open.  From there, you can also gain access to the Cultural History Museum.

From July 2010, the museums are likely to be closed until April 2011.

During the rebuilding phase, in addition to the permanent exhibitions of the Felix Nussbaum Haus, the following temporary exhibitions can also be seen:

21 February – 24 May:  ‘Pavel Feinstein – Fils de Chien’ (Son of a Dog) in line with the cooperative project ‘Der Hund ist auch nur ein Mensch’ (The dog is only human too)

5 June – 25 July: ‘Jürgen Schadeberg – Fotografien aus Südafrika’ (Photographs from South Africa) in line with the Africa Festival.

Cultural History Museum - Skylight Room:
21 March – 20 June: Hella Stüve-Hirschfelder – ‚Künstlerin der vergessenen Generation’ (Artist of the Forgotten Generation).
